Draw it, then make it real.

A whiteboard where every blueprint is a live node drawn from its file, with frames, labelled flows, and sticky notes around it. When a sketch earns a page, it becomes a blueprint.

A canvas for book one of a novel series: places, people, and chapters in three frames, joined by labelled arrows such as rules, hides, and never lies to, with a sticky note and a sketch for book three.

Live nodes

Blueprints, drawn from their files

Each blueprint node reads from its file and writes back to it. Shape and colour come from your properties, so a status reads at a glance across the page.

  • Title, summary, and properties from the file
  • Styled by property, in Canvas settings
  • Edits from a node write to the blueprint
A canvas for a streaming app: blueprints grouped into Getting in, Finding a film, and Watching, joined by labelled arrows, each node edged in the colour of its status, with two sticky notes and a sketch.

Sketch to blueprint

Sketch first, promote later

A sketch is an idea that isn’t a blueprint yet. When it earns a page, Promote to blueprint makes the file from the usual template. The node keeps its place and its flows.

A sketch selected on a canvas, its details open: a title, a description, a status, the frame it belongs to, and the Promote to blueprint button.

A whole toolset

Sketches, stickies, text, annotations, frames that carry what’s inside them, and elbow flows with labels, arrowheads, and dashes. Each tool is one key, a canvas can have many pages, and undo survives a save.

An open file, and open formats

Each canvas is one YAML file with a published schema, so an agent can edit it and the page follows. Export a page as PNG, SVG, or JSON Canvas for Obsidian. Share a canvas with the team or keep it to yourself.

How it connects

The canvas draws what the files say.

A canvas never copies a blueprint. It holds only what a blueprint can’t: the layout, the frames, and the flows between them.

  • Blueprints

A node is a blueprint by its permanent id, and a promoted sketch becomes one.

  • Comments

Comment pins on a node or a page move with the node.

  • AI Agent

An agent edits the canvas file against its schema. Promoting a sketch stays a person’s choice.

  • Git

A canvas is a file, committed with the blueprints it draws.

From the shell

A canvas is a file

Readable by a person, editable by an agent, and checked like everything else.
